The First Blog
Hello and welcome to the Olympic Physiotherapy blog. This blog was created to facilitate communication amongst ourselves, our clients, and the community in which we are nestled. Health, mind, and body are all topics of conversation within the clinic. Our staff and patients are dynamic and active people who are passionate about their hobbies, sports, and causes. As a group we strive to be a small but positive force in the world. As a blog we want to share knowledge, physiotherapy tips, and the activities and causes we enjoy and support.
Autumn has arrived in a flurry of activity. Suzy, one of our receptionists, is volunteering at a boy’s orphanage in Africa with an organization called Sure24. We would like to thank the generosity of everyone who donated to her. The donations have enabled her to buy chickens for the orphanage, 300 of them in fact! It’s very cool and we are wishing her the best on her adventure and travels in Africa.
The staff at Olympic Physiotherapy love the outdoors. Interests include climbing, biking, hiking, cycling, and running. Come February we start discussing the TC 10km, team names, strategies, and most importantly the breakfast we will eat afterwards. This year in addition to the TC 10k we opted to do the Run for the Cure in early October which was a great 5km loop around the University of Victoria. The following weekend was the Victoria Marathon. Karla one of our physiotherapists ran her first full marathon, and one of our receptionists (Kirsten) finished her first half.
We hope that the fall and winter are as full as the last few months have been and look toward an enjoyable holiday season. Stay healthy and happy!
